Presentations and Handouts

Tman has done a variety of Presentations over the years and is available to speak at your event or meeting. He can make a custom presentation just for your needs, or use one of the presentations he has done in the past

Presentations

Ice Age Trail Basics
This presentation has the basic details of the Ice Age Trail, then he shows some highlights of nearby hikes. He has done the presentation at Fontana Sports in  Madison, Walworth/Jefferson Chapter of the Ice Age Trail in Elkhorn and Midwest Mountaineering Outdoor Adventure Expo in Minneapolis.  Here is the Madison Handout and here is the Minneapolis Handout

The Coolest Backcountry Campsites on the North Country Trail in Minnesosota
The Presentation features ten unique and cool backpacking campsites on the North Country Trail in Minnesota. Tman explains why some campsites are cooler than others, and gives you the details on several cool campsites.  Previously done twice at the Midwest Mountaineering Expo in Minneapolis and once at the Laurention Lakes Chapter Meeting in Ponsford, MN.  Go here for the Handout.

More Cool Campsites on the North Country Trail and Ice Age Trail
Tman takes a look at ten more backpacking campsites and this time includes campsites on the Ice Age Trail along with the North Country Trail.  Previously done twice at the Midwest Mountaineering Outdoor Adventure Expo in Minneapolis.  Go here for the handout

Exploring the North Country Trail in the Midwest
This is a presentation that I have created for Bethany Thomas and she has been presenting it in Northern Wisconsin.  It shows some of the highlights of the North Country Trail in Northern Minnesota, Northern Wisconsin, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  She has shown it several times across the northland including in Ashland and Ironwood.  She currently has 3 more presentations slated for this spring.  Since I have created the slideshow, I am allowed to do presentations of it in Southern Wisconsin.  There is currently no handout, we just give out North Country Trail Brochures and local maps

Tman’s Gear Demo/Where to go Backpacking in the Upper Midwest
This used to be one presentation but I ran too long.  So I have now split it up into two sessions, Tman’s Gear Demo and Where to go Backpacking in the Upper Midwest.  Tman’s Gear Demo concentrates only on Backpacking Gear and Where to go Backpacking in the Upper Midwest concentrates only on possible backpacking trips, whether it be a weekend trip or weeklong trip.  I still use the same handout for both classes
